Default blu-ray drive and few other questions

HDPLEX cases are awesome! I am now trying to get all the pieces together to make a system based on Ivy Bridge + (Z77, H77) chipset (once they are released, no ITX at the moment).

1. Is this drive compatible with H3.SODD:
Ebay Link?

2. Which motherboard brand is known to have quickest BIOS POST time?

3. Are only the unlocked processors with 'K' i.e. Core i7 3770K can be under-clocked undervolt? Or any processor can be undervolt, but only the unlocked once can be underclocked? What is safer/better to get 3770T with 45W TDP, or to get 3770K (77W TDP) and underclock it?

4. Are there IR control drivers for 64-bit Linux?

5. Are there any suggestions in choosing least power hungry motherboard? Are generic Intel boards less hungry than more feature reach ASUS boards?

Thank you.

Yes to the first question. I would recommend motherboard with UEFI bios. I have ASUS and Biostar, they are pretty the same on post time.
It is better to use 65W or lower TDP CPU. IR device should be recognized as standard keyboard device.

I don't know the answer to 5.
