I see this might be a common question.
The slot on the side panel is a tight fit for the heatpipe for best heat transfer. If you find it difficult to push the whole pipe into the slot, you could first push the tip of the heatpipe in and then push the rest in place. See below picture:

I will also include this little tool for applying thermal paste on side panel.

The manual that came with my H3 said that the thermal grease was optional for the side connection. Should I disassemble my H3 and add the grease to the side wall heat sink?
