Default Install the heatpipe on H5 and H3 series

I see this might be a common question.

The slot on the side panel is a tight fit for the heatpipe for best
heat transfer. If you find it difficult to push the whole pipe into
the slot, you could first push the tip of the heatpipe in and then
push the rest in place. See below picture:

I will also include this little tool for applying thermal paste on side panel.

Default Thermal Grease

The manual that came with my H3 said that the thermal grease was optional for the side connection. Should I disassemble my H3 and add the grease to the side wall heat sink?

Thanks,

Stephen

If your thermal test result is not optimal, I would recommend apply some thermal paste to the side groove.

Otherwise, there is no need.

I also think if the CPU is low freq/low power and your app does not squeeze the CPU much, no thermal paste on the side groove is fine.
